Top Ten Books on my Winter TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.

There are a lot of books on my TBR, but here are my top choices for this winter:

1. Iron King by Julie Kagawa
I just finished Iron Queen this weekend and I can't wait to see what happens next!

2. Illuminated by Erica Orloff
How gorgeous is this cover? And it's about star crossed lovers = awesome!

3. Secret Sisterhood of Heartbreakers by Lynn Weingarten
Love the concept and can't wait to check out the book.

4. Legacy by Cayla Kluver
I've heard awesome things about this book and I love fantasy, so I can't wait to dive into this one!

5. Bloodrose by Andrea Cremer
I freaking love this series. LOVE! It has an awesome love triangle that has sparked a lot of discussion, and I need to know who Calla ends up with (Team Ren!!!). If you're wondering why I'm Team Ren, check out my Love Triangles: Wolfsbane post. If you haven't started this series yet, just go pick up Nightshade...like now!

6. Falling Under by Gwen Hayes
The main character literally meets the boy of her dreams. I love the concept, but haven't gotten around to reading the book yet (even though I''ve had it for awhile).

7. Dark Mirror by M.J. Putney
I've wanted to read this book since it came out, and I finally got my own copy so I'm hoping to get to it this winter. I'm definitely a historical fantasy fan.

8. Vixen by Jillian Larkin
1920s + flappers. Can't wait!

9. Dark Reflections by Kai Meyer
I first saw this book in Barnes & Noble last December, and I just had to have it...and its been sitting on my shelf ever since :( According to the description, it incorporates ancient Venice, history, and mythology...all thins I'm sure I'll love.

10. Fallen in Love by Lauren Kate
I've been reading the FALLEN series for a while, and I'm finally starting to get some of my questions answered! I don't think any of my questions will be answered in this book, since its more of a novella, but I like the series so this one is high on my list.

  1. You have some totally amazing books listed. I'm going to be starting Nightshade soon. I just got it from Chapters.

I'm way behind on the Iron Fey books. I have them all but haven't had a chance to read past The Iron King even though I loved it.

And considering I have Fallen, Torment and Passion sitting here I really should give the Fallen books one more shot. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood when I tried to read it? If it's had this many sequels it must have something going for it.

  2. Just finished the second book in Putney's series and definitely love the combination of historical fiction and magic. I am way behind in the Iron Fey series too and hope to eventually get them all read. Enjoy snuggling up to all you winter reads.

  5. I forgot to put Vixen on my list. I love to read historical fiction in the winter and this one has been on my shelf since last December.

I also must pick up Bloodrose when it comes out in January. I was Team Shay for the first book, but then he really annoyed me and I switched to Team Ren in the second book (which is actually quite an accomplishment because Ren was only in it for about ten pages!)

  7. Falling Under is a great series, and I have a review for it if you ever want to check it out. I cannot wait for Bloodrose as well, even though I honestly haven't finished the first book, I still think it'll be great.

    Awesome list though!

  11. Yay! We both picked Bloodrose! Illuminated and Secret Sisterhood are good picks too. I want to read them both. Hope you get to Falling Under sometime soon. I enjoyed that one.
