Goodreads Description:
"Tamani looked at her gravely, and reached up to tuck her hair behind her ear.
He hesitated for an instant, then his hands found the sides of her face, pulling her to him. He didn't kiss her, just held her face close to his, their foreheads resting together, their noses almost touching.
She hated how much it felt like good-bye.
Laurel now knows the truth: Yuki is a rare Winter faerie, the most powerful—and deadly—of all, and Klea plans to use her to help conquer and destroy Avalon. But Klea's reach extends far beyond one wild Winter faerie. With Tamani, David, and Chelsea by her side, Laurel prepares to face what may be Avalon's final days, in the stunning conclusion to the Wings series."

Destined was a
great conclusion to the Wings series.
It takes place pretty much exactly where Illusions
left off, and was jam-packed with action. The whole book was essentially
one really long battle, which I have mixed feelings about.
On the one hand, all of the action made the story very
exciting and I really wanted to see what happened next. On the other hand, I
feel like there was no reason to have another book. Since the book was
basically the final battle in the series, it should have been included at the
end of Illusions.
My favorite part of the Wings
series has always been the love
triangle. It wasn’t as prominent in this novel, but the romance was still
great. It felt like less of a triangle to me and more like a natural end to the
series.
I also am happy to say that I was not disappointed with the
ending. After the Author’s Note, Pike included a chapter called “The Last Word,”
which is essentially an epilogue. I really
enjoyed the epilogue because I think it was a realistic and natural conclusion
to story. Nothing is worse than an author tries to force a pretty bow onto a
story that really doesn’t feel like it should be wrapped up quite so nicely
given the circumstances of the story.
All in all, Destined is
a wonderful conclusion to the Wings series. Action packed and filled with the romance we
have all come to love, Destined answers
the outstanding questions we have had from previous novels. I can’t wait to
read more from Aprilynne Pike!
