Love Triangles: When You Were Mine

Love Triangles is a feature I created to discuss how I feel about love triangles in the novels I read. I am assuming that those reading the love triangles posts have already read the books. Please be aware that these posts may contain spoilers.   

Rob-Rosaline-Len

I went into this novel expecting to love Rob & Rosaline together—and I did. It was a wonderfully sweet story of two childhood friends who realize that they have feelings for each other. Then I realized that Rob was a complete ass. The best thing about When You Were Mine is that Rebecca Serle kept surprising me even though I already knew the plot. How did she do that! Anyway, I did not expect Rob to be such a complete jerk—but he was. A complete. Freaking. Jerk.

Len, on the other hand, I loved. At first, I didn’t really expect him to play much of a role in the story, but he obviously did. He may come across as the stereotypical rebel without a cause, but he is bright and already has his future planned out. He is light-hearted and carefree, whereas Rosaline is a bit uptight and worries a lot about the future. The two complimented each other really well, and Len was just great.
