But she’s also looking for love—because even though her romance with Cole had to be snuffed, Ash is a volcano goddess—and she doesn’t get burned.
This sequel to the edgy and action-packed Wildefire continues a fiery drama on an immortal scale."

Embers & Echoes takes place exactly where Wildefire left off, which was great because we get to see Ash’s reaction to Colt surviving a horrific motorcycle accident. In true Ashilne Wilde style, it was priceless.
As with Wildefire, there is a ton of violence in this novel. However, while the violence was a real turn off in Wildefire, it now makes a lot of sense to me. We are talking about a bunch of gods here. They are almost always vengeful and violent! I am so glad Karsten Knight has written a novel that truly embraces the nature of the gods as they are portrayed in traditional myths.
One of the things I enjoyed about Widlefire was the romance between Colt & Ash. The romantic aspect of the novel was still prevalent, but I did not enjoy it as much as I did in Wildefire for reasons that I will leave for another post. I do have to say, though, that I am very excited to see what the rest of their story holds
As with Wildefire, there are boring moments in Embers & Echoes, but once the story line picks up, it is really hard to put the book down. Filled with action, mystery, and violence, Embers & Echoes maintains an accurate portrayal of Gods & Goddesses that die-hard mythology fans will devour.
