Goodreads Description:
""History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time. "
Alexandria isn't sure she's going to make it to her eighteenth birthday--to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she's a goner... and so is Aiden.
If that's not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time "training"--which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time--she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome.
But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she's caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed... and destroyed.
Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate..."

Deity was absolutely amazing! As much as I love the covenant series, my one gripe has always been that it is very similar to Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy series. I am beyond thrilled to say that Deity is a definite break from the overwhelming similarities in the two series. Yes, we still have the daimon/strigoi parallel, as well as the comparable love stories, but aside from that we are in a different world completely!
Oh. My. Gods. What an exciting world Armentrout introduces us to! Remember all of those Appolyon mysteries from Pure? Well, we are starting to get answers to them—and I am loving every second of it. Armentrout continues on with her unique take on Greek mythology and we even get to see some of the Gods and their realms. The Gods are my favorite part because every author gives them a different personality and it’s a lot of fun to see how they differ.
The love triangle is, of course, one of the major draws to this series. The triangle played much less of a role in this novel, and it appears that Alex has made a choice—however, there is a lot of room for this to change, so we will have to see how this plays out in the later novels.
Filled with action and adventure, Armentrout delivers another kickass novel for us to devour. Perfect for fans of both Greek Mythology and romance, Deity will enrapture the reader with its world building, romance, and to-die-for characters. This series is utterly captivating, and I cannot wait for more!
